Source types, by section
Events: home page, /events/, city and section pages
City and regional open-data agendas, official city event calendars and public-library programme feeds (for example OpenAgenda, the Basque Kulturklik agenda, city agendas of Helsinki, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid, NYC Parks, the Toronto and Chicago public libraries). We keep events that have a real start time and a link to the organiser's own page, and we summarise them in our own words. Where a licence requires it, the attribution line stays on the page.
New-in-town guides: /new-in/
Official public pages only: municipal registers, immigration appointment portals, social security and health services, transport authorities. Every step shows its source links, and every guide says that rules change and must be confirmed on the official page.
Section pages (game nights, libraries, run clubs, walks, book clubs and similar)
Organisers' and venues' own pages, public-library calendars and the same open-data agendas. Each entry names its source and links to it.
Answers: /answers/
Written from our own listings above, not from outside material.
Developers feed: /developers/
The same events as open JSON and RSS, licensed CC BY 4.0, each with a link to the organiser's page.
How we check
- Every event carries a link to the official or organiser page; the date, time and place come from that page.
- Suggestions sent through our forms get an automatic check that the link loads, then a manual review before anything is published.
- We do not invent details. When something could not be confirmed it is left out or marked as not confirmed.
- We list events, venues and organisations, not private individuals. We do not publish personal data.
How often it changes
Events are added and refreshed in batches, not on a fixed hourly schedule, so details can change after we publish them. Always check the official page before you go. City guides are revised when we find a rule has changed.
Report a mistake
Found a wrong date, a dead link or an event that should not be listed? Use the suggestion form at the bottom of a section page such as game nights or full-moon walks and put the correction in the note field, or write to us in the support chat of the Meet & Mint app. Suggestions are read by a person.
