Etran de L’Aïr desert blues and Soba, La CLEF, Saint-Germain-en-Laye
On Tuesday 10 November La CLEF, a concert hall on Rue de Mareil in Saint-Germain-en-Laye west of Paris, hosts the Niger group Etran de L'Aïr with the artist Soba as opening act. Etran de L'Aïr is a collective of brothers and cousins from Agadez, formed in the mid-nineties, which began by playing weddings and celebrations with a single acoustic guitar and calabashes before adding electric guitars and drums. In the line of Tinariwen, the group mixes traditional songs in Tamasheq, electric guitar and hypnotic rhythms, described as a blend of desert blues and surf rock. Soba fuses American blues with African traditions. Advance tickets cost 14 to 18 euros, and entry is free with the venue's concert card. The minimum age listed is sixteen and the language is French. The show starts at 20:30 and ends about 23:30. «Etran de L'Aïr (Niger) + Soba (BF/CG/FR)» Starts 20:30, ends about 23:30. Source: OpenAgenda — La CLEF (open data).
