Free torchlight Halloween visit, Château-Musée de Boulogne-sur-Mer

Château comtal / Musée de Boulogne-sur-Mer

For one evening the medieval castle that houses the Boulogne-sur-Mer museum is explored by torchlight. The visit looks at how different societies made objects to keep the dead present: an Oceanian korwar, an Egyptian mummy, illustrated epitaphs, each surrounded by rituals, funerals and sometimes taboos. A thoughtful All Saints' theme rather than a fright show. Groups leave from the museum reception every half hour between 18:30 and 20:30; free, from age 12. «Soirée spéciale Halloween - Visite à la torche» Starts 18:30, ends about 20:30.
