Aula de Cultura de Algorta

Paula Hoyos comes to the Aula de Cultura in Algorta, Getxo, to talk about «Dormir fuera de casa», the novella that won the 2025 Ramiro Pinilla Short Novel Prize. A flight from Rome to Barcelona is cancelled and four strangers meet while waiting to board again: a chemistry teacher close to retirement, a disenchanted woman in her thirties, a man in crisis, and a Barcelona native who left for Italy and is returning to sell her house. As they wait they revisit decisions, losses and postponed desires. It is a Thursday-evening literary meeting in Spanish, free to attend, with the author present to talk about how the story came together.
