Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live troupe, Le Cuvier, Artigues

Le Cuvier de Feydeau

Jim Sharman's 1975 glam-rock musical flopped on release and became the ultimate cult film, with the show happening as much in the auditorium as on the screen. Le Cuvier de Feydeau, the cultural centre of Artigues just east of Bordeaux, screens it the proper way: the troupe The Time Slips perform live in front of the picture, as at the legendary Studio Galande in Paris, and the audience is encouraged to come in costume, sing along and dance the Time Warp. Bar ouvert, a theatre evening at the counter, Artigues

Giovanni Mirabassi solo piano concert, Le Cuvier de Feydeau, Artigues

The programme, called Più Avanti, revisits his 2001 album of revolutionary songs, Avanti, which became a surprise success, sold tens of thousands of copies and won him a Victoire du Jazz and a Django d'Or. Out of print since 2005, the album is reimagined here with the experience and technique he says he always wanted to bring to it. Stranded Horse and Boubacar Cissokho, kora folk concert, Le Cuvier

On Friday 2 April 2027 at 20:30 Le Cuvier de Feydeau, on avenue de l'Île de France in Artigues-près-Bordeaux, hosts Stranded Horse and Boubacar Cissokho, an off-site concert by the Rocher de Palmer. Stranded Horse is the project of Yann Tambour, who plays a kora of his own making and once worked with the Malian master Ballaké Sissoko. During a residency in Dakar he met Bocar Cissokho, a cousin and pupil of Sissoko, and wrote most of his third album with him.
