Garden shredding day and composting tips, La Chapelle-sur-Erdre

Stade du Buisson de la Grolle

Our gardens have plenty of resources, and shredding, mulching and composting go well together. The Compostri team is touring the Nantes metropolitan area with garden shredding days from 25 September to 4 December, and on this Friday afternoon it is at the Stade du Buisson de la Grolle in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre. Bring your branches (maximum 8 cm in diameter), watch them go through the shredder and go home with the wood chips and lots of advice on mulching and composting. It is an easy outdoor outing for gardeners and curious neighbours alike, with the chance to chat about what thrives in a garden. Free and open, no booking needed. Sturdy shoes and gloves are a good idea. «Opération de broyage et sensibilisation au compostage» Starts 14:00, ends about 16:30. Source: OpenAgenda — Agissons pour le climat (open data).

Objectif Burnout, a satirical musical comedy, Capellia

Espace Culturel Capellia

On Thursday 4 February 2027 the Espace Culturel Capellia in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, near Nantes, hosts Objectif Burnout by the Compagnie Contrechamp. The listing describes a musical comedy set in a world inspired by the 1970s, where Bernard is the star presenter of a television game called Gagner plus, which celebrates performance and ultra-liberal management techniques. That evening his guest is the philosopher Hannah Arendt, who questions and shakes the machine until the show goes off the rails. Behind the laughter, the listing calls it a poetic and political attack on the absurdity of a system that makes burn-out almost normal. It adds that you leave with an irresistible wish to continue the debate at the bar. Tickets run from 8 to 22 euros and the lowest one is used here. The debate at the bar afterwards is the natural place to start a conversation if you came alone. «Objectif Burnout» Starts 20:00, ends about 21:35. Crocodile, dance duet with live marimbas, La Chapelle-sur-Erdre

Espace Culturel Capellia

On Thursday 25 March 2027 the Espace Culturel Capellia, on chemin de Roche Blanche in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre just north of Nantes, presents Crocodile, a dance and music piece by Martin Harriague, created with Émilie Leriche and Ensemble 0. The listing describes two bodies that watch each other, look for each other, come closer and avoid each other, and finally touch, carrying on their exploration of romantic attraction in an inventive danced dialogue. With rare complicity the choreographer and the dancer unfold a delicate and lively score. In echo, Canto Ostinato by the Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt is played live on marimbas by two musicians of Ensemble 0. The piece lasts about an hour. Tickets range from 8 to 22 euros, and the lowest is used here. A short dance duet with live music is an easy evening out alone, and the hypnotic marimbas make it relaxing even if you rarely go to dance shows. «Crocodile» Starts 20:00, ends about 21:00. Mi Morna, solo play on Armenian memory, La Chapelle-sur-Erdre

Espace Culturel Capellia

On Thursday 1 April 2027 at 20:00 the Espace Culturel Capellia, on chemin de Roche Blanche in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre just north of Nantes, presents Mi Morna, N'oublie pas, j'oublie, a solo show by the actress Méliné Ter Minassian. Drawing on her own life, she plays both a woman and her grandmother, moving back and forth between France and Armenia, between present and past. Time is not linear here: like memory, it turns and circles back. The collective history of the 1915 genocide and the 2020 war in Nagorno-Karabakh meets an intimate story carried by a few personal objects, and the play asks what is passed on between generations and whether one must forget in order to move forward. Tickets range from 7 to 15 euros, with 15 euros the full price, and the show is recommended from age ten. One hour long, it is a thoughtful evening for one. «Mi Morna - N'oublie pas, j'oublie» Starts 20:00, ends about 21:00. Source: OpenAgenda — Ville de La Chapelle-sur-Erdre (open data).
