As part of the documentary film month, the Nièvre architecture council screens a film about new life and housing projects in the French countryside, followed by a discussion with director Mathilde Morières. Entry is free, and the debate format makes it easy to join the conversation.

With Dynamite Shakers, French rock has found a new generation ready to make the walls shake. The four musicians from the Vendée started out playing everywhere in DIY mode and have racked up more than 400 gigs and support slots for The Offspring, Sum 41, the Pixies and Nick Cave; their sound draws on punk energy and abrasive guitars, with echoes of Pixies and Sonic Youth. On Friday 30 April 2027 at 20:00 the Théâtre Municipal de Nevers, on place des Reines de Pologne, stages Mystère à Silent Pool, a play built on a real mystery. On 4 December 1926 Agatha Christie's car was found crashed near the Silent Pool lake in Surrey. Everything was done to find her and police forces were mobilised across the country. In the play Inspector Kenward and his partner Hastings lead the investigation: kidnapping, murder or a deliberate disappearance? The interrogations follow one another, and a loyal housekeeper, an unfaithful husband, a fragile friend and a crooked publisher make a gallery of worrying suspects. Eleven days later the novelist was found in a spa hotel, registered under another name. Tickets cost 10 to 15 euros and the lowest price is used here.
