Lunchtime electronic concert, Le Nautilus, Perpignan

Le Nautilus

On Friday 18 December the Nautilus venue in Perpignan offers one of its short lunchtime concerts, nicknamed concert sandwich. The act is La Division Technique, whose sound is described as old-school electronic music made with analogue synthesisers, filters, strings and voices, together with recordings of outer space. The set mixes minimalist sequences, industrial ambient, psychedelic krautrock and electronic waves, and it is accompanied by projections. The titles come from the group's albums of 2018, 2023 and 2025, and a new single made with Pascal Comelade has just appeared. Tickets cost five euros through the venue's online shop. The announcement is in French. The concert starts at 12:30 and ends at about 13:30, so it fits easily into a lunch break, at 20 rue Jules Verne. «Concert sandwich - La division Technique» Starts 12:30, ends about 13:30. Empreinte, breakdance piece and reading, Perpignan

Théâtre Aux Croisements

On Thursday 4 February 2027 the Théâtre Aux Croisements, at 31 rue des Romarins in Perpignan, presents Empreinte by the company Influences, followed by a musical reading of texts by the poet Caroline Stella. The listing calls it a choreographic piece on what we receive, what we pass on and what transforms us, using breakdance, acrobatics and sign language. It follows a young apprentice and a mentor, played by Maëlys Escare and Timothée Allal, between heritage and emancipation, with a sound score by Frank2Louise and a poetic text read aloud. The choreographer Francky Corcoy says dance gave him a second birth and that he is now born a third time through teaching. The piece lasts 50 minutes and is open to all from age 10. Tickets cost 6, 8 or 12 euros, and the lowest is used here. A short show with a reading afterwards leaves time to talk with others. «EMPREINTE / Cie INFLUENCES + Lecture musicale» Starts 19:30, ends about 21:30. A Solas flamenco and Ida, women's rights week, Perpignan

Théâtre Aux Croisements

On Saturday 6 March 2027 the Théâtre Aux Croisements, at 31 rue des Romarins in Perpignan, opens its women's rights week, around International Women's Day, with a double bill. The listing presents two pieces meant to let women's bodies, silences, rhythms and presences be heard. The first, A Solas by the company La Mesure Sorcière / El Compás Brujo, is a contemporary flamenco piece of about an hour. In an imagined intimate space, somewhere between a dance studio, a dressing room and a home, the choreographer Karine Gonzalez faces herself in the mirror of passing time, between the repetition of knitting and the repetition of dance. The second piece, Ida ou le rêve balcon, comes from the company Objet Direct. Tickets cost 6, 8 or 12 euros, and the full price is used here. A double bill in a small theatre during women's rights week gives a natural opening to talk with other spectators afterwards. «SEMAINE DROITS DES FEMMES A SOLAS / Cie Compagnie La Mesure Sorcière/ El Compás Brujo + IDA OU LE RÊVE BALCON / Cie OBJET DIRECT» Starts 19:30, ends about 22:00. Quebec storytellers and harp finale, TAC theatre, Perpignan

Théâtre Aux Croisements

On Saturday 3 April the Théâtre Aux Croisements in Perpignan closes the second Affabulation festival, which runs from 26 March to 3 April. The closing evening is called the veillée du TAC, with Quebec as the guest of honour in the francophone world. Three storytellers, Claire Jean, Christine Bolduc and Sylvi Belleau, appear with the singer and harpist Jessica Paradis, who accompanies the evening, and together they offer a show that builds bridges between their culture, creativity, humour and generosity, looking for the universal in singular voices. Earlier that afternoon, from 16:00 to 18:00, a free meeting for oral storytelling enthusiasts takes place. The listing gives tickets from €8, and the text is in French. The evening show starts at 20:30 and ends about 23:00. «CLÔTURE DU FESTIVAL AFFABULATION» Starts 20:30, ends about 23:00. Source: OpenAgenda — TAC - Troupuscule (open data).

Démocratie(s…?): Animal Farm and a second piece on power, Perpignan

Théâtre Aux Croisements

On Friday 23 April 2027 at 19:30 the Théâtre Aux Croisements, at 31 rue des Romarins in Perpignan, presents Démocratie(s…?), an evening of two short pieces that question power, national narratives and the words that shape our political imagination. The first is La Ferme des Animaux by the Cie La Maison Théâtre, after George Orwell: the animals dream of a society where they would be free and masters of their fate, but the pigs gradually confiscate power, betray the ideals of the revolution and end up looking like the humans they overthrew. The second form is by Marianne Martin and the Cie Écartèlement. The first piece lasts fifty-five minutes and is recommended from age fourteen. Tickets cost 6, 8 or 12 euros, with 12 euros the full price. Two political pieces in one evening give plenty to talk about afterwards in the theatre foyer. «DÉMOCRATIE(S…?) LA FERME DES ANIMAUX / Cie La Maison Théâtre + Marianne Martin / Cie Écartèlement» Starts 19:30, ends about 22:30. Source: OpenAgenda — TAC - Troupuscule (open data).
