How it works

Your first run club alone in Taipei: what to expect

Your first run club alone is easier than it sounds. Look for a group that says no-drop: the leader or a sweeper waits for the slowest runner, so nobody is left behind. Most clubs split into pace groups, so pick the slower one without apology. Arrive about 10 minutes early, find the leader and say it is your first time; they will introduce you and explain the route. Bring water and wear what you already run in. Afterwards many groups go for coffee or a beer, which is where the conversations happen.

  1. Pick a run below and open the official page to check the day, time and meeting point.
  2. Turn up early and tell the leader it is your first time.
  3. Choose your pace group: the slowest group is always a fine place to start.
  4. Stay for coffee and plan the next run with someone from the group in Meet & Mint.
