Free choir concert in Baranbio church, Amurrio, Álava
On Sunday 20 December at 18:00 the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Baranbio, a village in the municipality of Amurrio in Álava, hosts the final concert of the 2026 edition of Recorriendo Álava, a cycle of choral concerts organised by the Álava Federation of Choirs and the provincial council. Four groups sing: Andere Abesbatza and Bihotzak Abesbatza from Llodio, and Coro Ahopeka and Coral Ausartak from Vitoria-Gasteiz. The cycle, launched in 2022, takes choral music to different villages of Álava, brings together groups from different places and showcases the work of the amateur choirs of the territory. This year it offers eight concerts with 24 choirs between October and December. The listing says entry to every concert is free until the capacity is full, and gives the language as Others. A village church concert in the days before Christmas is a quiet, social way to meet people from the valley. The concert starts at 18:00 and ends at about 19:15. «Recorriendo Álava 2026: Andere Abesbatza + Bihotzak Abesbatza + Coro Ahopeka + Coral Ausartak» Starts 18:00, ends about 19:15.
