Free book presentation at Katakrak bookshop, Pamplona

Katakrak Liburuak

On Saturday 31 October 2026 at 12:00 the independent bookshop Katakrak, on Calle Mayor in the old town of Pamplona, hosts the presentation of a book by the journalist Ander Izagirre, La mochila. Vida de Muñagorri. The book follows Alberto Muñagorri, who as a ten-year-old boy in 1982 was injured by a backpack bomb that ETA left in a square in Rentería, losing a leg and the sight of one eye, and whose life keeps crossing the violent history of the Basque Country over the last half-century. The listing states that the presentation is free and gives Spanish as the language. A bookshop launch with an author is a straightforward event to attend alone, with a lunchtime slot that fits a weekend stroll through the old town. The end time is estimated at about an hour. «Presentación de libro "La mochila. Vida de Muñagorri", de Ander Izagirre» Starts 12:00, ends about 13:00. Book presentation on the trees of the Basque Country, Pamplona

Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Pamplona, main auditorium

In the main auditorium of the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Pamplona, the authors Iñaki Etxebeste and Markel Arriolabengoa, both from Aramaio, present their large new book on the trees of the Basque Country, published together with ARGIA magazine. They are joined by the landscape designer and popular science writer Jakoba Errekondo and by the photographer Dani Blanco. According to the listing, the book covers the relationship of the Basque Country with each tree species: how to identify them, their characteristics, needs, care, uses, history, stories, meanings and curiosities. The authors combine texts and photographs, and they propose looking at the Basque Country through its trees. The event is a good fit for nature lovers and walkers, and it is free to attend. The language is Basque. The presentation starts at 19:00 on Tuesday, and as no end time is given we assume about 20:30. «Presentación de libro: "Zuhaitzak eta Arbolak Euskal Herrian"» Starts 19:00, ends about 20:30.
