New Year's Eve Double Bass Recital at Weiwuying

Weiwuying Recital Hall

Young double bassist Chen Pin-Ren, a Tainan-born music student, gives a solo recital in the Recital Hall of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts on the last evening of 2026. It is a small, intimate concert that is easy to attend alone before heading out for the countdown. OPENTIX lists tickets at NT$300.

Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra: Conductor Kuo Che-cheng's Farewell

Weiwuying Concert Hall

The Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra traces Taiwanese Chinese-orchestra music and its memories across the decades. It is also the last concert before the retirement of resident conductor Kuo Che-cheng, who has been with the orchestra since 1984. OPENTIX lists tickets from NT$300 to NT$1,200, so the cheapest seats are the affordable option.
